Consultations

We offer a series of consultations to assist our clients in every step of planning to build a new home. You may choose how much involvement you would like to have with us. If it is your first time, you may want to take advantage of all we have to offer. If you have had previous experiences, you may wish to take little advantage of those particular services.

Preliminary Consultation

This is a simple “meet and greet” where we get to know a little bit about each other and find out if we might be suited to work with one another. The meeting is risk free and with no obligations.

Secondary Consultation

This is a purposeful meeting where we begin to talk about budgets and designs. We will go through a quick questionnaire to help you think through the required features you will need to meet your specific desires, needs and lifestyle. Then we will begin looking at different layouts as a starting point that we will later customize to optimize the final layout. From there, we will be able to give you a rough budget that you can go to the bank with to begin the preapproval process.

Design Consultation

We will meet with you to discuss ideas for selecting distinguishing interior and exterior finishes that you would like to see in your home and which suppliers to work with. We will incorporate your selections into our price after the final drawings are complete. Upon request, we can accompany you to meet with the designers that will be making up your drawings for you (this can be helpful for clients that need assistance in making decisions regarding restrictions due to city by-laws). The final design will be drawn up and sent to us upon completion.

Costing Consultation

After the drawings and your selections have been finalized, we will provide you with firm pricing. We will discuss the quote with you and allow you to request changes to any of your finishes. Remember, the price will depend on the choices you make and you control how much you will spend.

Final Consultation

We will meet with you to discuss the revised changes to the first price and finalize your quote. Then we will introduce our contract to you and interpret each clause. We will send home a copy of the contract for review in case you would like to present it to your legal advisor.

Close Out Meeting

Ten business days from the date of the final consultation, we schedule a close out meeting where you will share your decision to build (or not to build) a Platinum Home. We sign the contract, you leave your deposit and we determine the timeline for the construction to begin!
